In any pressurized piping system, the integrity of a single joint can determine the safety of an entire plant. pipe flanges are the components engineers rely on to create that joint — bolted, sealed and inspectable for decades of service. With more than 30 years of manufacturing experience, EZ STEEL INDUSTRIAL supplies a full range of flanges in carbon, stainless, alloy and copper-nickel materials, each produced to ASME, EN, GOST and JIS standards for oil and gas, petrochemical, marine, power and waterworks projects around the world.
A flange is a forged or plate-cut disc with a machined sealing face and bolt holes. Two flanges, a gasket and a set of stud bolts form a bolted joint that connects pipes, valves, pumps and vessels. The geometry of the flange distributes the bolt load evenly onto the gasket, creating a leak-tight seal that can be released for inspection, cleaning or replacement without cutting the pipe. This combination of strength, serviceability and pressure containment is why flanges remain the dominant connection method in process industries.
The most widely used reference standards are ASME B16.5 (NPS 1/2 to 24) and ASME B16.47 (NPS 26 and above). European projects typically follow EN 1092-1, while Russian and Asian plants reference GOST 33259 and JIS B2220. Pressure classes range from 150 lb to 2500 lb in the ASME system, with PN 6 to PN 400 bar in the EN system. Choosing the right combination of standard, material and facing is the first step in building a reliable joint.
Weld Neck Flanges. The long tapered hub is butt-welded to the pipe, making the joint as strong as the pipe itself. Weld necks are the preferred choice for high-pressure and high-temperature service, including boiler headers, superheater connections and hydrocarbon process lines.
Slip-On Flanges. The pipe slides into the flange bore and is fillet-welded both inside and outside. Installation is faster and less expensive, but pressure ratings are lower. Slip-on flanges work well in low-pressure water, fire protection and general plant piping.
Blind Flanges. A solid disc used to terminate a pipeline, isolate a section for maintenance, or provide access to a vessel head. Blinds are rated for the same pressure as the mating flange, so a Class 300 blind can close a Class 300 line.
Socket Weld Flanges. Designed for small-bore, high-pressure piping. The pipe is inserted into the socket and fillet-welded, which reduces turbulence and minimizes the risk of weld cracking compared with threaded joints.
Threaded Flanges. Used where welding is not practical, such as in explosive atmospheres or on galvanized lines. They are typically limited to Class 150 and Class 300 service.
Lap Joint Flanges. Paired with a stub end, this combination allows the bolt circle to rotate for easy alignment with mating flanges. Lap joints are common in systems that require frequent disassembly, including stainless and copper-nickel lines.
For buyers who also need to connect piping branches, elbows and reducers, EZ STEEL pairs every flange order with matched pipe fittings from the same mill heat, ensuring material, traceability and delivery arrive in one shipment.
Flange material must match the pipe, the fluid and the operating environment. EZ STEEL INDUSTRIAL produces steel flanges in four major families, each engineered for a specific service window.
Carbon and alloy steel flanges in ASTM A105, A350 LF2 and A694 F52/F65 are the workhorses of oil, gas and power plant piping. They handle temperatures from -46 °C up to 540 °C and pressures up to Class 2500. steel flanges in this range can be supplied with hot-dip galvanizing, anti-rust primer or black paint finish depending on project specifications.
Stainless steel flanges in 304/L, 316/L, 321/H and duplex 2205 provide superior corrosion resistance for chemical, food, pharmaceutical and offshore service. When paired with ASTM A312 stainless steel pipe, the entire piping train can be quoted to a single material standard.
Copper-nickel flanges in 90/10 (C70600) and 70/30 (C71500) are the preferred choice for seawater cooling, shipbuilding and offshore platforms. They resist biofouling and galvanic corrosion, and they are typically matched with EEMUA 144 or ASME SB171 copper nickel flanges and Cu-Ni pipe spools.
Alloy flanges in Inconel, Monel and Hastelloy are used in highly corrosive or high-temperature services such as hydrocrackers, nuclear auxiliary systems and chemical reactors. These grades are produced to ASTM B564, B462 or B366 and are delivered with full solution-anneal and PMI verification.
Every flange leaving the EZ STEEL workshop is traceable to a specific heat number and accompanied by a 3.1 / 3.2 mill test certificate. The factory is certified to ISO 9001, with API, EN and ASME accreditation for pressure-bearing components. Production is monitored through chemical analysis, mechanical testing (tensile, impact, hardness), hydrostatic testing, magnetic particle or dye-penetrant examination, and PMI verification on all alloy and stainless grades.
For nuclear and aerospace projects, additional documentation is available, including RCC-M Part II compliance for copper-nickel pressure tubes and ASME B16.5 + B16.47 traceability packs. The workshop also maintains calibrated gauges for facing finishes including RF (raised face), FF (flat face), RTJ (ring type joint) and tongue-and-groove, ensuring interchangeability with any global supplier.
EZ STEEL flanges are operating in some of the most demanding infrastructure projects in the world. In China, they are used in the West-East Gas Pipeline, the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, and major petrochemical complexes in Shandong, Guangdong and Xinjiang. In Southeast Asia, they are installed in LNG receiving terminals and combined-cycle power plants. In the Middle East and North Africa, they have been supplied for refinery revamps and seawater cooling systems on offshore platforms. In Europe, they are used in district heating networks and chemical plants, and in South America they have been qualified by national oil companies for sour-service pipelines.
These projects share a common need: a single supplier that can deliver pipe, fittings, flanges, gaskets, stud bolts and valves to the same standard and the same delivery schedule. The annual output of the company exceeds 480,000 metric tons, with a stock of common grades such as ASTM A106, A53, A312 and API 5L kept ready for fast-track shipments.
To receive an accurate quotation, buyers typically provide the following: standard (ASME B16.5, B16.47, EN 1092-1, GOST 33259, JIS B2220), nominal bore and schedule, pressure class, flange type, facing (RF, FF, RTJ, TG), material grade, surface finish, quantity and target delivery date. Where drawings or datasheets are available, sending them at the inquiry stage helps the engineering team respond with a confirmed technical offer within 24 hours.
For projects that include pipe, fittings, flanges and valves, requesting a bundled quotation can shorten the procurement cycle and reduce the number of suppliers to manage. EZ STEEL can supply complete piping packages heat-numbered and traceable, packed in seaworthy crates with full export documentation.
